Cookie Policy
Last updated · applies to blog.scamiro.com
Scamiro uses very few cookies, and none of them track you across other sites. This page lists every one.
Cookies we set
- Theme preference. Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Expires after one year. Set only if you change the theme.
- Newsletter dismissed. Remembers that you closed the subscription prompt so we do not show it again. Expires after 90 days.
That is the complete list. We do not set advertising cookies and we do not use third-party analytics that set their own.
Cookies set by others
If an article embeds content from another service — a video, a chart, a code sample — that service may set its own cookies when the embed loads. We use privacy-preserving embed modes where the provider offers them, and we label embeds so you can choose not to load them.
Why no consent banner?
Because none of our cookies require one. The two cookies above are strictly necessary for a preference you have explicitly set, which is the category most privacy laws exempt from consent. If that ever changes, Scamiro will ask before setting anything new.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will reset your theme preference and may show the newsletter prompt again. Nothing else on the site depends on cookies.
Changes
We update this page whenever the list changes and date the revision at the top.
